Description

These "potato" tarts, quick to prepare and utterly delicious, were one of the most popular sweets at Soviet times. The recipe is quite simple, so that in the Soviet era, when there was often a shortage of food, all the necessary ingredients could be found. The main version of the recipe is also the simplest: butter cookies are the main ingredient here. However, these can be replaced by rusks. Instead of sugar, condensed milk may be added. The tarts will be finer and more airy if you replace storebought cookies with home-made biscuit dough. However, this is a rather tedious process and: the "potato" tarts are so popular because they do not have to be baked. Despite their simplicity, the taste of these little treats is amazingly delicious!
